The Vernon Flying Club, established in 1946, is also Flight #65 of the Canadian Owners and Pilots Association. An event that the club hosts is COPA Discover Aviation, where children aged 8 to 20 are introduced to aviation and enjoy, what is for many, their first flight in a small airplane. FOR FREE!
Are you interested in learning to fly, renting an airplane or taking a sightseeing flight? Unfortunately, the Vernon Flying Club does not provide these services at this time.

In addition to our well attended annual Rust Remover, we also host fly-in breakfasts, BBQs and other social events. The VFC supports local and provincial search and rescue, community events, an aviation scholarship and various local charities. The VFC holds its monthly meetings on the third Tuesday of the month at 7PM, the exceptions being July, August and December. Those with an interest in aviation are welcome to attend. Vernon's COPA Flight 65 Presents......
The Vernon Flying Club and COPA Flight #65 are proud to announce the return of the very popular and exciting youth aviation event, Discover Aviation (formerly known as COPA For Kids). For the first time since 2019, young people 8 to 20 years of age, will get a chance to experience the thrill of aviation by taking a ride in a small airplane.
