VFC member RICK THORBURN was recently awarded an engraved plaque for his generous cash donation of $5,000 to the club.

Members of the Board met at the clubhouse New Year’s Eve to acknowledge Rick’s contribution.  This year (2021) will mark his 50th year of membership.  Rick has held every position on the Board at one time or another and has been instrumental in the success of the Vernon Flying Club and the Vernon Airport.  The Board applauds his contributions.

This donation will be used for the purchase and installation of a natural gas fireplace in the clubhouse that members will be able to enjoy for many years to come.
