2025 Rust Remover Update
The plans for the ever popular VFC Rust Remover, scheduled for May 3, 2025, are on short final. It’s time to shake off the winter rust and get ready for spring flying.
The 2025 VFC RR is approved by Transport Canada to meet biannual training as per CARs 421.05 (2)(c). Log book stickers provided. No pre-registration is required but we would appreciate a heads up if you are interested in attending. You can use the Contact Us form on this website or via the VFC Facebook page.
Location: Okanagan College, Vernon Airport, 6225 Okanagan Landing Road, Vernon, BC. Parking and registration at the college.
If you plan to drive, we are located at the Vernon airport, 6210 Tronson Road. If you are planning to fly in, the VFC clubhouse is on the edge of the ramp, just north of the Compass Rose.
The cost for the attendees is $40 which includes morning coffee with treats and a delicious lunch of BBQ hamburgers and side dishes. If you have any questions, please reach out to flyingclubvernon@gmail.com
Schedule
Regstration: 0800 – 0845. Please have your pilot license available.
Seminar: 0900 – 1500
Lunch: BBQ hamburgers and side dishes is included at the Vernon Flying Club
The day before the Rust Remover seminar, the VFC will be hosting an Evening Social. Doors will open at 1700 with a meal at 1800 in the VFC airport clubhouse. Pulled Pork on a bun with salad and dessert will be provided at $10 per person. All VFC members and Rust Remover attendees are invited.
